V Disney opravdu ani po posledním fiasku s aplikací Toy Story 3 nezahálí a zdejší vývojáři přicházejí s další bezplatnou aplikací pro iPhone, tentokrát bezplatnou už doopravdy, i když svojí kvalitou se od předchozí hry bohužel moc neliší. Nese název Tron Legacy, stejně jako nový velkofilm a videohra z produkce této společnosti.
Tron hráče zavede do zvláštního sci-fi světa, kde proti sobě bojují tři frakce rozdělené dle barev na modrou, zelenou a oranžovou. Samozřejmě vám hra hned na začátku nabídne, ke které frakci se chcete přidat - tím rozhodnete i o barvě vašeho tanku. Proč do toho najednou míchám jakési tanky? Celá aplikace totiž nabízí pouze jednu hru, a to právě tankové bitvy, většině hráčů známé již ze stařičkých konzolí.
Pochopitelně je herní systém trochu zmodernizován a upraven pro sci-fi prostředí netradičního světa. Single-player nabízí 15 vesměs nudných misí, kde se v jednotlivých úrovních postavíte mechanickým droidům a vašim úkolem je se vždy dostat do speciálního teleportu, který vás krom záchrany posune o level dál. Samozřejmě cesta k němu není růžová a kdo z vás toho tolik propařil co já, tak určitě ví, o čem mluvím.
O něco lépe zní možnost hry pro více hráčů, kam se můžete lehce dostat, pakliže máte přístup k internetu. Zahrát si můžete ve dvou, čtyřech nebo šesti hráčích, ale i zde se hraje zase jen na frakce, takže jakýkoli hráč, sedící ve stejném tanku jako vy, je automaticky vašim přítelem. Po rychlém vytvoření profilu se každé zabití nepřítele počítá jako bod pro vaši frakci a ukládá se do tabulky v procentech. Stejně jako hra pro jednoho hráče, i multiplayer přináší spoustu vychytávek v podobě vylepšení kanónu, granátů, a dalších bonusů.
Celou hratelnost ale ošklivě kazí ovládání. V dolních rozích jsou umístněny D-pady, přičemž ten levý používáte pro pohyb tanku a pravý zase pro otáčení hlavně. Bohužel právě ten je příliš citlivý a budete díky němu neustále umírat. Grafické zpracování také na tom není nejlépe. Design úrovní je bezduchý a jednotvárný. Na pestřejší barvy se už zapomnělo úplně a stařičké efekty také ničím neoslní. Zvuk je pak jen jedna neustále dokola hrající melodie.
